Making Memory Books: A Workshop on Dementia
Sadly, it seems as though these days almost everyone knows someone close to them that has dementia. Join us in an educational workshop on interacting with dementia patients and crafting memory books.
Time & Location
Jan 16, 2020, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Sunnyside Elementary School, 16025 S. Lindenwood Dr. Olathe, KS 66062
About The Event
Join us for a Dementia Workshop for families, led by Aubrey Marez from Summit Care. During the workshop, kids will learn about what it means to suffer from dementia and some tips for how to interact with someone who has memory loss. We will learn how to love them in the very best way for them!
Following the workshop, we will make Memory Books that Summit Care will donate to their local memory care patients at their partnered communities or, you can donate your book to someone you know who might benefit from it.
You do not need to bring your own photos for this event (although if you plan to give to someone you know feel free to bring the actual photos!). We are simply putting together the book and designing the template for families to be able to personalize in the future.
Age 2 and under free$5.00
