The Shadow Buddies Project

Please join us for a fun night. We will learn about The Shadow Buddies Foundation from the founder and then get busy cutting out capes for their "Courage Cape" program. We will also have patterns to help cut out the skirts and shorts for the Shadow Buddies. This is sure to be a heartwarming event!

About The Event

The Shadow Buddies Foundation is a children’s charity dedicated to providing support and knowledge to children with severe illnesses and disabilities. The foundation accomplishes this through unique programs designed to enhance the lives of children and adults by fostering compassion and awareness of differences with our line of 31 condition-specific “Shadow Buddy” dolls. Crafted from muslin and carefully researched to represent a child’s medical or emotional condition, Shadow Buddies offer seriously ill or medically challenged children the companionship of a friend “just like me.”

At our KindCraft event, we will learn about the Shadow Buddies from creator, MARTY POSTLETHWAIT. She is such an inspiration and we are so excited to help with the shadow buddies who bring such joy to kiddos who are suffering.

Please bring a pair of fabric scissors (preferred) or regular scissors that are not dull for this project. Please bring a pair of scissors for each person participating.
