On December 1, we met at Sunnyside Elementary School to make “no sew” fleece blankets. It was a family oriented service project and we had lots of families participate. Kids had fun choosing the style of their blanket and even did some of the cutting and tying.
We donated over 50 blankets to Children’s Mercy South hospital. We made a variety of size and gender oriented blankets. (They often get child blankets but the teens love them too!).
Our goal was to fill the cafeteria and bring lots and lots of snuggles to those kiddos in the hospital!
