On January 13th, we met at Sunnyside Elementary school for a fun volunteer service project for the whole family. We collected and put together toiletry bags for Mission Southside. The turnout for this event exceeded our wildest expectations.
We collected toothbrushes, toothpaste, washcloths, bars of soap, shampoo, razors, deodorant, brushes, combs, and large ziploc bags. We had a goal of filling 50 bags and blew that out of the water with a whopping 245 bags. All contributions were appreciated and helped, whether it was 1 item or 20!
On January 13, we brought the supplies we had collected and let the kids sort and assemble the toiletry bags.
