Kindness Comes Full Circle

Every KindCraft event is about more than a project — it’s about the young people growing through service. Our Student Ambassadors don’t just help run events; they experience firsthand how kindness shapes communities and hearts.
One of our ambassadors recently shared this reflection in a scholarship essay, and it perfectly captures why we do what we do. We’re so proud of the compassionate leaders these students are becoming.
In her own words:
My Grandma instilled in my mom, and my mom instilled in my brother and I the importance of
volunteering and giving back to the community. When I was little, options were limited, and then we found out that Courtney, who my mom knew through a church group, co-founded an
organization called Kindcraft. We went with friends to a blanket making event, and then to other regular events that I was able to, as I was busy with soccer and other schedules.

As time went on, I wanted to participate in more community service so I joined the student ambassador program in May of 2024. I have been helping regularly with the events ever since. It is rewarding to interact and assist the kids at events, knowing that I used to attend when I was their age. Now that I am older, I am able to discern how beneficial volunteering really can be. I enjoy assisting with other foundations and organizations, but Kindcraft is distinctive to me because I am able to interact with the kids and see how happy they get, recognizing that they are helping someone who needs it.
“A small act of kindness is never wasted.”
This quote is explicitly shown at every Kindcraft event, as everything we do has an intention. Everyone that comes to events walks away exuberantly as they know that they are bettering the community.

This is why KindCraft exists — to give kids the chance to do kindness, not just talk about it. Watching students grow from participants into leaders who understand empathy, service, and impact is the greatest gift.
We are so proud of our Student Ambassadors and the heart they bring to every project. 💛
